The trail begins beside the E12 at Anders Jans vikenand leads up towards the summit. The trail stops before reaching the summit and you are free to choose your own route. You could either continue straight up to the summit from where the trail ends, or via the north ridge. To the southeast, the ground falls away in a steep slope down to Lake Stensjön and the Vasksjödalen valley. The terrain is steep and stoney.
